Ветеран отряда спецназа Евгений Сорматов едет на живописное озеро в Карелии. С собой он везет последнее письмо товарища — Андрея Егорова, погибшего год назад, и орден Героя России, которым того наградили посмертно. Там, в тихом уголке на одной из шхер в рыбачьем безлюдном поселке живут отец и сестра Андрея. Сорматов находит обветшалую гостиницу, сторожем которой и оказывается отец Егорова. Евгений рассказывает родным товарища про героическую гибель Андрея, передает им письмо и звезду, после чего немедленно собирается в обратную дорогу, но неожиданно начинается жуткий шторм. Выбора нет: Евгений возвращается на шхеру. А тем временем сестра Егорова Татьяна находит среди вещей постояльцев коробки с оружием. Вскоре все трое становятся заложниками преступников-контрабандистов. Теперь бывшему спецназовцу придется вспомнить о своем боевом прошлом…
В военном городе, затерянном в лесах идет своя жизнь. Городок вполне благополучен, но в нем есть все — и хорошее, и плохое. Существуют неуставные отношения, сержант Маликов третирует первогодков, об этом все знают, но лишь проводят с Маликовым «разъяснительную работу», не вынося сор из избы.
Но не только Маликов «отличился». Выясняется, что Апраксин «продаёт» солдат одному из бизнесменов, строящих неподалёку свой особняк. Брагин об этом знает, но ничего не предпринимает, выжидая повод поговорить с Апраксиным.
В городок приезжает следователь, ведущий дело о воровстве леса в крупных масштабах, незаконных вырубках на территории, окружающей воинскую часть. Дело серьезное, масштабы очень крупные и задействованы большие деньги и опасные криминальные личности. Следователь просит помочь в раскрытии преступной цепочки, следы ведут в военный городок. Лес вывозится как стратегическое сырье по военным накладным — кто занимается документами — загадка.
Смертельные враги — Апраксин и Брагин оказываются перед выбором – решить свои личные проблемы или задержать бандитов. «Кому мы служим? – спрашивает Брагин. – Отечеству? Или кому-то еще?» Долг службы оказывается сильнее – оба вступают в битву с преступной бандой, начинается «лесная война» двоих против целой банды. «Война» затягивает героев все сильнее, но герои не могут вырваться из круговорота событий, который захватил их. На них объявлена настоящая охота.

Greenland — Since 8 years Im traveling to this magical country. Today quiet and untouched places are becoming more and more rare. On my first visit to Greenland, I was fascinated by the incredible power of nature that can be felt everywhere. But during the last years things have changed. The amount of icebergs is increasing savagely. Glaciers Im visiting every year are retreating not meters but kilometers a year and the unending amount of ice seems to be endless. There is nothing more beautiful than an iceberg — everyone is unique and the light reflecting from its surface is magical. Its sad how close beauty and decay can be seen in an iceberg. This movie is is an appreciation to the ice — for me the most amazing aggregate state of water.
Behind the scenes
For this short film I travelled to Greenland with my drones several times. Always with the target of a certain region in a certain light situation. The shots from the calving glacier took me 4 days at the Eqi Glacier and over 70 battery charges for only 4 usable shots of a few seconds. Its a very hard intention to film the very right moment on a glacier front of about 6km wide — especially close up. But the hardest thing of flying in Greenland is the fact, that every 2-3 minutes the difference between the magnetic north and the geographic north (which are not the same place — especially so far north) causing a fatal p-gps flight error and the drone is flying away (also the cameras horizon). But at the end every single flight was worth it — filming Icebergs from above is one of the most beautiful things Ive ever done. Additionally I used the drone to scout the landing spot and look for polar bears. The best thing for bears and humans is to not meet each other on shore.
