Они живут здесь в домовых знаках, в старых фонарях, в таинственных уголках, на Улочке алхимиков… Очарованный Прагой, бродя по ее улицам, с изумлением открываешь все новые и новые детали, новые штрихи к ее портрету. Вышеградский холм помнит историю основания города и легенды, с этим событием связанные. Старинный центр Праги — Пражский град расскажет о традициях королевской династии. Знаки на домах, расположенных в районе Старого Света и Градчан, поведают о деятельности тайных обществ. Два университета города, Каролинум и Клементинум, — о том, как развивалась научная мысль в Чехии.
Невозможно перечислить имена людей, о которых мы вспоминаем, проходя по улицам города. Прага, подобно музе, шептала стихи поэтам и окрыляла композиторов, она щедро дарила вдохновение каждому, кто становился ее другом. На вилле Бертрамка, например, рождалась музыка Моцарта. А старинный памятник рыцарю Брунцвику у Карлова моста вдохновлял Марину Цветаеву. Прогулки по улочкам старой Праги, встречи с людьми, которые были влюблены в этот город, загадки, запечатленные в домовых знаках, поэзия и прекрасная музыка — все это в фильме о волшебном городе на реке Влтаве «Легенды старой Праги»
